Albany Community Action Partnership
ACAP is a federally designated Community Action Agency, providing programs and resources to low-income families living in Albany County, New York. We serve thousands of families each year by providing services through three departments:
- Community & Career Services: Career pathway program which includes a variety of services include career planning and readiness, occupational training and certification, job placement assistance, retention services, free income tax preparation services, and food pantry assistance.
- Early Childhood Education: Educational programs for children ages 6 months to 5-years-old including Head Start, Universal Pre-K, Early Head Start-Child Care Partnership, and other family support services.
- Energy Services: Home weatherization services designed to make homes more energy efficient, helping decrease household energy usage by reducing heating and cooling costs and promoting home health and safety issues.
