The founders, Mike Nichols and Kevin Self, started ACIS because they wanted to create a great place for themselves to work. Soon after starting the company, rapid growth necessitated the hiring of other people. They realized that they could provide a great place for others to work as well. This perspective has permeated the company ever since. The culture of ACIS is the single greatest contributor to its success. The values of Humility, Honesty, Excellence, Passion, Teamwork and Growth are central to everything we do. We are committed to the personal and professional growth of our employees. We recognize that organizational health is the most important element to any company’s success. As a result, we have focused on establishing trust (rooted in vulnerability) so we can have healthy conflict which allows us to make commitments and hold each other accountable to those results. We host two day offsite sessions with small groups of employee to promote this culture and values. We have a playbook which is a one page, front and back, laminated document which we read every week in our management meeting to remind us of our purpose, values and goals.
