ACLD's mission is to provide opportunities for children and adults with autism, intellectual and other developmental disabilities to pursue enviable lives, promote their independence and foster supportive relationships within the community.
Purpose
All employees at ACLD help to support the organization's mission. That mission revolves around affording a person the opportunity to discover answers to important questions like "What kind of job do I want?" "What places would I like to go see?" "Which people would I like to go visit?" "What do I want to do with my life?" Answers to these questions point a person towards his or her enviable life.
Vision
We will accomplish this by: assisting the people we support to make meaningful choices, develop significant relationships and have productive, healthy and enjoyable lives. Areas of emphasis include home, health, and safety, relationships and employment and meaningful activities. Providing an organizational culture which supports professional development and a commitment to the achievement of individual outcomes.
