Additional Culture Details
Describe how we support the local community:
We support the local Middle Tennessee community through a variety of sponsorships throughout the year. Past sponsorships have included the Nashville Rescue Mission’s “Mission Possible Turkey Fry,” the Nashville Predators’ “Military Appreciation Week” and numerous sponsorships of elementary and high school sports teams. In addition, AMG has previously partnered with The Bootstraps Foundation, which awards college scholarships to a select group of graduating high school seniors who have overcome challenging life situations. The foundation has granted nearly $1 million in scholarships since its inception in 1987.
Describe any interesting recent events at your organization:
When was the last time your boss invited the whole company over for a pool party at his house? Our president, Mike Hoover, did just that last Memorial Day. Not only did he open his Smyrna home to all of his employees, but he also invited their families. The feeling the employees at Accurate Mortgage Group have for their company is such that they look forward to celebrating a day off of work by hanging out with the people they work with every workday.
Provide interesting facts about your organization:
• Employees occasionally join forces to participate in mud runs/obstacle courses and paintball tournaments.
• We have hosted three realtor safety events since the fall of 2016 and plan to continue them periodically throughout the year. This is a free lunch-and-learn event, taught by a credentialed safety professional, that is tailored specifically to offering realtors safety tips and the opportunity to purchase self-defense items.
• In order to meet the needs of Middle Tennessee’s housing boom, Accurate Mortgage Group is opening two new branches in 2017 – in Spring Hill and in Smyrna, TN.
• Accurate Mortgage Group is interested in hiring entry-level employees in order to train them correctly from the start and offer them a lifetime career in our industry. It was a goal for the company to hire 10 entry-level employees in 2017; we've hired 13 in just the past four months.
• Accurate Mortgage Group’s employees range from the 22-year-old, college-graduate rookie to the 40-plus year mortgage veteran. This offers plenty of mentoring opportunities.
• As a sales organization, our turnover rate is exceptionally low at just 8% per year.
• A little more than half (56%) of our employees average 6 or more years.
• Women hold 60% of the company’s positions at the management/director level.
