What began out of a simple storefront in 1971 to assist the Arab immigrant
population is now the largest Arab American community nonprofit in the
nation. With over 120 programs focused on youth, education, community
health, workforce development, emergency services, philanthropy, activism
and the arts, 10 locations in Southeast Michigan and three national institutions
—the Arab American National Museum (AANM), the Center for Arab American
Philanthropy (CAAP) and the National Network for Arab American Communities
(NNAAC)—everything ACCESS does is to advance the social, health and economic
well-being of individuals and families.
Guided by our vision of a just and equitable society, anchored in our mission of
empowerment, and founded on the belief that a community must first have its
basic needs met before it can be empowered to impact social change, ACCESS

Purpose
Through more than 120 programs, we work to assist, improve the lives of, and empower over 70,000 people in Southeast Michigan on an annual basis. Through our three national institutions, we work to empower the Arab American community by uplifting their narrative, their voice, and providing them with opportunities to give back with impact.
