People helping people. At MSGCU, it’s who we are and what we do. We are member-owned and not-for-profit. We provide simple access to sensible financial products and solutions – all delivered with the thoughtful attention that each member deserves. Our highly personalized service does more than just put our members on the path to financial success. It leaves them highly satisfied, as validated with a satisfaction rate of 97%. Founded by a small group of educators in 1954, MSGCU now has more than 116,000 members and 13 branches. Our field of membership has expanded to include those who live, work and worship in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. With our roots heavily intertwined with school employees, we strongly believe in the power of education. Each year, we distribute more than $100,000 in scholarships and grants to area students and teachers, as well as first responders. For more than 20 years, BauerFinancial has awarded MSGCU five stars, the highest possible rating of financial performance.
