Founded in 1915, community-based Hillsdale Hospital provides high-quality healthcare in south central Lower Michigan. This includes acute inpatient care, advanced radiology, full-service laboratory, surgery, a state-of-the-art birthing center, emergency care, inpatient psychiatric care and more. The hospital also delivers specialty care and primary care at multiple outpatient clinics. Specialty care provided includes pulmonology and sleep disorders, orthopedics in affiliation with University of Toledo Medical Center, home care, a pain management clinic, short-stay rehab, advanced wound care and hyperbaric medicine and more. Among its primary care clinics, Hillsdale Health & Wellness provides walk-in care, while Litchfield Health Clinic and Reading Health Clinic offer same-day appointments. The hospital also produces Rural Health Rising, a podcast about the healthcare challenges, successes and opportunities facing rural America, which is now a member of the Health Podcast Network.
