Since 1974, Great American Restaurants have set the bar for casual dining in Northern Virginia and Maryland. Through a unique combination of entrepreneurial spirit, enthusiasm for hospitality and relentless hard work, Great American Restaurants have created 15 dining destinations and 2 artisan bakeries offering fantastic cuisine and plenty of fun. Founders Randy Norton, Jim Farley and Mike Ranney set out with the mission of hiring and developing the best service professionals in the industry. Over the past 45+ years, GAR has built a team dedicated to excellence, hospitality, and fun with fanatical attention to detail. From Carlyle in Arlington to Sweetwater Tavern in Falls Church, and Randy’s Prime Seafood & Steaks in Vienna to Good Eats Emporium in Sterling, Great American Restaurants are the Washington area’s top destinations for family and friends in search of classic American cuisine and good times.
