The Tennessee Department of State is the most unique and functionally diverse department in state government. The department has oversight of a wide range of services including elections, the state library and archives, administrative law judges, business filings, and charitable filings and investigations, to name a few. The services touch every department in state government, every state employee, business, and most citizen in the state.
