As one of the largest hospital-based non-profit consortium programs in the United States, Life Link III has a 35-year history of demonstrating its dedication to improving patient care and transport safety. Life Link III provides helicopter and airplane services for rapid on-scene emergency response and inter-facility transport for patients requiring critical care. Life Link III is a not-for-profit company comprised of the following members: Allina Health, CentraCare Health, Children’s Minnesota, Essentia Health, Fairview Health Services, Regions Hospital/HealthPartners®, Hennepin Healthcare, Marshfield Clinic Health System, St. Luke’s, and HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital / St. Joseph's. Life Link III operates ten helicopter bases that include Alexandria, Blaine, Brainerd, Duluth, Hibbing, Rush City, and Willmar in Minnesota, and Marshfield, Rhinelander and Rice Lake in Wisconsin.
Purpose
We promise that we will do everything possible to give every patient their best chance for their best possible outcome – demonstrated by our unwavering commitment to providing the highest level of care to critically ill or injured patients while on-board safe, state-of-the-art aircraft. We are there for our patients and partners in care every step of the way - from our industry-leading clinical and aviation programs, in addition to 24/7/365 support from our Communication Center and Operations Control Center, we stand ready to answer the call and be that life-saving resource for those we serve.

Our culture at Life Link III focuses on doing what is best for our patients, our partners, and our community. We start and end our days with a simple principle: always do what is best for the patient. This, together with our mission and values, help drive the life-saving work that our team members do. We are a non-profit consortium with member-owners representing 10 of the major health systems in Minnesota and Wisconsin and over 70 health care facilities.
We are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems. CAMTS sets the standards for the industry similar to what JCAHO does for hospitals.
We offer a safety-centric workplace that allows for continuous improvement and ensure that all employees play a key role in ensuring the highest level of safety possible. A dedicated safety manager, as well as an anonymous reporting system are available to all employees.
We ensure that our employees have the tools and resources to operate in high stress and high trauma situations. All employees have access to a behavioral health specialist 24/7/365 and employee assistance program.
Profession Development support includes a personal professional development fund, paid time off for exam prep and exam fee reimbursement, and opportunities to participate in and participate in organizational initiatives.
