Our mission is to “improve the lives of those we serve.”
Home of Guiding Hands (HGH) is a 501 (c) 3 corporation. We were founded and incorporated by an ambitious group of community leaders in 1961–operations began in 1967. We now serve more than 3,800 infants, adolescents and adults diagnosed with an intellectual or developmental disability such as Down syndrome, cerebral palsy or autism. For the past 52 years, HGH has been committed to providing quality community support, and critical housing throughout San Diego and Imperial Counties. HGH provides a multitude of services ranging from Early Childhood Development, Respite Care, Independent Living, Transportation, Counseling, and what we are best known for: our premier residential housing services.
