GBU Life (GBU) is a member-owned, not-for-profit provider of life insurance and annuities based in Pittsburgh, PA. Since 1892, GBU has been helping families to secure their futures, build their legacies and impact their communities, first in Pittsburgh and later across the country. In addition to providing secure financial products, GBU unites members across the country through member programs which encourage and support giving back to local communities through volunteerism and fundraising. GBU’s spirit of philanthropy and volunteerism starts with its Home Office employees who are committed to maintaining the strength of the organization, which gives resources needed to support these great programs. Purpose
Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, GBU Financial Life (GBU) is a member-owned, fraternal benefit society initially founded by German immigrants in 1892, that provides financial security and social activities to its members. Today people of all backgrounds and ethnic groups are welcome to enjoy GBU’s unique member benefits through the purchase of life insurance and annuity products as well as retirement savings and financial planning programs. GBU encourages and supports community and patriotic groups and events through its local district system. Charitable, recreational and social activities are offered for the entire family.
