When someone joins HP, they become a part of the “HP Family”. Our projects require long hours, but we embrace a team atmosphere, and everyone takes pride in the product they produce. To encourage the team atmosphere, each project participates in quarterly team building activities. Past activities have included: fishing trips, a day at a theme park, paintballing, go-cart races, and concerts, with most of the events taking place during work hours. Additionally, the project teams host cookouts and BBQs to celebrate successes.
HP is a large firm that operates like a small business. Employees create individualized Quality of Life (QOL) programs that allow them to create a work-life balance. We recently had a contest to rename the QOL program, the winner: Build You. Build Hensel Phelps.
