Crescent City Schools

Established in 2010, Crescent City Schools was founded on the belief that all students deserve great schools. Crescent City Schools is a Charter Management Organization (CMO) founded by two veteran educators, Kate Mehok and Julie Lause, in order to address the specific need of transforming failing schools.

Today, our open enrollment schools remain dedicated to equity in education and improving student outcomes. Crescent City Schools currently serves more than 2,200 students across three schools in New Orleans: Harriet Tubman Charter School, Harriet Tubman Montessori, Mildred Osborne Charter School, and Dorothy Height Charter School. CCS schools rank among the most academically successful PreK-8 open enrollment schools in New Orleans.

CCS believes our success is driven by our dedicated and talented employees, and we strive to give employees what they need to take care of themselves and their families.
