The Garrett Companies is a full service Multifamily Development, Construction, and Property Management team that works in unison to entitle, develop, build, and manage multifamily apartment projects across the country. Our proprietary market research criteria paired with our proprietary business model allows us to create desirable, high-end multifamily housing, while also producing superior risk-adjusted returns for our financial partners. Our people matter the most, and every single person at The Garrett Companies plays a part in shaping our workplace culture.
We continually find ways to support the professional growth of each team member. Part of this support comes by creating a working environment where ideas take root and where thinkers and doers are rewarded.
We are career planners and work with folks to think 2, 5, 20+ years into their futures. We encourage job shadowing, cross departmental learning, and expect people to help shape their roles so that we can take full advantage of their unique skills and knowledge.
We seize every opportunity to exceed the expectations of our team - and we delight in surprising them. Flexible work days, lots of perks, and recognizing that work is only one part of their lives.
OH – we also have a “no middle managers” rule. We don’t hire them! Every single person on our team does actual work. Crazy…I know. Remember group projects in school – where 1 person did all the work and the rest were just there collecting a grade? We seek out those people that did the work – and we have a knack of filtering out those applicants that were the “grade collectors”. It’s been an incredible mindset that has allowed us to do so much in such a short period of time (we just started this company 6 years ago!).
