Additional Culture Details

Own it. Seek joy. Don’t be a jerk.
These simply stated yet powerful concepts are the Rules of the Road driving the more than 6,000 team members at JPS Health Network to provide high quality healthcare to our community’s most vulnerable populations -- the poor, the elderly, the homeless, the mentally ill.

As our community’s publicly supported healthcare system, JPS seeks to hire not only those who are top in their fields technically, but also those who have the servant heart. Our mission of transforming healthcare delivery for the communities we serve happens in large part by attracting, recruiting, developing and retaining team members who embrace our Rules. The culture at JPS is one of collaboration, support and encouragement, starting at the top with President and CEO Robert Earley. We celebrate our wins together, such as being the only public hospital in the nation certified to provide disease-specific care for stroke, heart attack, trauma and sepsis, and we share in the emotional struggles that can follow difficult cases through our Care for the Caregiver program, with services available to every team member – from physician to housekeeper. At JPS, everyone is on the care team, even if they never touch a patient.

JPS provides the continuum of patient care from birth to palliative care, with all specialties in between. Licensed for 589 beds, our system includes an acute care hospital, the county’s only Level 1 Trauma Center and only psychiatric emergency center, more than 40 primary and specialty care health centers – including 19 located on public school campuses -- and Trinity Springs Pavilion, an inpatient behavioral health facility. As the largest teaching hospital in a community of more than 2 million people, JPS is home to 18 clinical residency and fellowship programs and also educates students seeking careers in health professions from more than 80 colleges and universities throughout North Texas. To keep team members engaged and motivated, the network invests in extensive employee rewards and recognition programs, professional and personal development, diversity and inclusion training and incentive plans based on achieving organizational outcomes shared by everyone who wears a JPS badge.
