RECOVERY FOCUS: We deliver programs and services in accordance with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Recovery Model. We recognize that each person’s recovery is unique, and is a journey rather than a destination.
STRENGTH-BASED, PERSON-CENTERED APPROACH: This enables individuals to define their own recoveries, and live with a sense of mastery, competence, and hope.
WHOLE-PERSON FOCUS: We address all dimensions of a person’s wellness in order to help them live their lives to the fullest potential.
INCLUSION, DIVERSITY AND EQUITY (IDE): Carelon BH CT complies with National Standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS), to advance health equity and improve quality and cultural competency.
COMMUNITY FOCUS: We understand that health care is local, and we develop our clinical programs with a deep understanding of the individuals we serve, as well as the nuances of the CT health care system. Our regional network managers regularly meet with our state clients and consumers at state-sponsored meetings and collaboratives. We regularly host community meetings focused on changing perceptions of mental health and substance use disorders.
