Caracole is the Greater Cincinnati tristate region’s AIDS Service Organization devoted to positively changing lives in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Founded in 1987, Caracole provides safe and affordable housing, medical case management and pharmacy services to empower those living with HIV to improve their health and well-being. Our prevention efforts focus on community outreach, testing, education and harm reduction strategies for those at risk for HIV. For more than 15 years, Linda Seiter has served as the Executive Director of Caracole, providing strategic direction and vision to the organization by actively building partnerships, supporting community efforts and advocating for those at-risk for or living with HIV/AIDS.
Caracole staff are actively involved in the community, supporting important advocacy and social justice efforts as well as volunteering time to support other human, health and social services partners and causes, like Visionaries + Voices, pictured here.
Community education and outreach plays a key role in Caracole’s fight against HIV/AIDS. We embrace and offer practical strategies to help prevent disease and promote health and well-being.
Funds raised at signature Caracole events—like our gala or AIDS Walk 5K/10K Run—provide crucial direct care services to those living with HIV/AIDS as well as prevention and education services for those at risk for HIV/AIDS.
