Libertyville School District 70 is located in the northern suburbs, approximately 35 miles north of Chicago, Lake County Illinois. Libertyville is proud of its warm neighborhood feel, strong heritage as a family-oriented community and exceptional place to raise children.
With an exceptional staff, District 70 encompasses five schools; four elementary (Kindergarten – 5th grades) and one middle school (6th – 8th grades), housing nearly 2500 students. Adler Park School comprises approximately 280 students, Rockland and Copeland Manor Schools encompass between 350 and 400 students, while Butterfield School includes over 500 students. Highland Middle School embraces roughly 1000 students annually. Proud to offer Full-Day Kindergarten for families, the day begins at 8:15 a.m. for elementary school students and ends at 2:45 p.m. Middle School students start their academic day at 8:50 a.m. and depart at 3:35 p.m. A range of extracurricular activities is available for students at each of the schools, providing opportunities to become involved and invested in all that the Libertyville elementary schools have to offer.
