LJAA was founded by four attorneys in 1993 and has since grown to 150 staff members. We pride ourselves on treating all employees like family. Although we are considered a large employer, our practices and procedures very much reflect a “Mom and Pop Establishment”. We understand that many good employees have certain circumstances that may require a special schedule to suit life demands (i.e. students, parents, caring for family members.) Our positive employee relations are reflected by the longevity of many of our team members. Over 44% of our attorneys and support staff have been employed with us for over 10 years. LJAA brings people together with initiatives to promote positive workplace morale. We celebrate birthdays off, half-day summer Fridays, generous vacation and paid holidays, as well as an attractive voluntary multi-layered benefits program. We are proud of employing many law and clerical interns and externs throughout the past 20 years, often recruiting interns to become full-time employees following their internships. LJAA holds annual camaraderie events to network and build team spirit. The company offers support, training and the resources for career development. The management team believes in an open-door policy and all employees, from the most senior partner through the newest high school intern, are referred to on a first name basis to promote respect and opportunities for real communication.
