Mission
Our mission is to provide children, youth and families with quality, comprehensive services to nurture healthy family life and enhance community stability.
Additional Culture Details
In 1972, La Causa opened as a daycare supported by mothers and volunteers, led by Clementina Castro, its first daycare director. These women saw a need for bilingual childcare for other mothers in their community and took action.
Over the years, La Causa has continued to address community needs by providing families with bilingual care, education, and social services.
At the heart of our mission is the dedicated staff that welcomes all into Familia La Causa and tirelessly serves the children and families of Milwaukee.
As we have done throughout our history, we will continue to emphasize the importance of diversity and inclusion and ensure our children embrace and are proud of their Hispanic heritage and culture as we prepare the next generation for higher education and careers. Living by our mission of providing children, youth, and families with quality, comprehensive service to nurture healthy family life and enhance community stability. Que viva la mission de La Causa.
