International Rescue Committee
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) helps people affected by humanitarian crises - including the climate crisis - to survive, recover and rebuild their lives. Founded at the call of Albert Einstein in 1933, the IRC is now at work in 40 crisis-affected countries as well as communities throughout Europe and the Americas. The IRC in San Diego provides opportunities for refugees, asylees, victims of human trafficking, survivors of torture, and other immigrants to thrive in America. These individuals have survived against incredible odds. The IRC collaborates closely with government bodies, civil society actors, and local volunteers to support refugees, asylum-seekers, and other immigrants in San Diego as they work to rebuild their lives.
