EDP Renewables North America

EDP Renewables North America (EDPR NA) develops, constructs, owns, and operates renewable energy projects across North America. The company operates 53 wind farms and eight solar parks, totaling approximately 7.2 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy capacity, enough to power more than 1.9 million average American homes every year.

EDPR NA is headquartered in Houston and operates 700 megawatts (MW) of wind capacity in Texas, the top wind producing state in the U.S. Our operational presence includes the two phases of the 400 MW Lone Star Wind Farm near Abilene and two phases of the 300 MW Los Mirasoles Wind Farm near Edinburg. These projects produce enough electricity to power the equivalent of approximately 152,000 average Texas homes each year. Two additional wind projects, the 180 MW Wildcat Creek Wind Farm, located 50 miles north of Dallas-Fort Worth, and the 209 MW Reloj del Sol Wind Farm in south Texas, are currently under construction and are expected to be operational by the end of 2020.
