Central Rural Electric Cooperative has been providing reliable, affordable power to its members since 1938. CREC provides electrical service to more than 18,000 members in parts of seven counties in north-central Oklahoma, covering more than 2,000 square miles of electrical line. It is CREC’s mission to provide safe, reliable and economical electric energy while providing services to improve the quality of life of its members and local communities. CREC continues striving to build a culture of excellence by working to achieve a standard of service that exceeds members’ expectations. CREC has been recognized as a leader in the energy industry and has led initiatives that have formed the creation of Smart Energy Source and its recent association with Oklahoma State University’s National Energy Solutions Institute.
