Purpose
CDF Labor Law LLP (CDF) protects and defends California employers of all sizes and industries in labor, employment and immigration matters. CDF merges big-firm, big –case background with the value of a specialty-focused firm to protect our client’s time, dime and peace of mind so they can focus on maintaining productive and rewarding workplaces to remain competitive in their marketplace.
Vision
CDF’s vision was and remains the same over 25 years later, to provide high-quality, cost-effective representation for employers in California in employment law matters and to create an entrepreneurial context for legal counsel and nurture client-attorney relationships fueled by flexibility, efficiency, responsiveness and creativity. The firm also remains committed to maintaining our ingrained value of inclusion and further diversifying CDF as a whole, with a strong emphasis on providing top leadership opportunities for women and minority attorneys.
Mission
CDF’s mission is to provide employers with excellent service, drawing on high levels of expertise and caliber of attorneys who specialize in protecting and defending employers against employment-related claims and providing preventative strategies for companies with workforces in California. In addition, it’s CDF’s mission to provide a personally and professionally rewarding place to work for all members of our team.
Additional Culture Details
The founding members started the firm in one of their backyards and together, they developed a business plan with pens and markers and made copies of it at Kinko's. Today, CDF is home to close to 50 attorneys and an equal number of staff, many of whom have been with the firm more than a decade, and some for more than two.
CDF’s Orange County office is made up of 63% females and 37% minority workforce. In addition, one of CDF’s Founding Partners, Marie DiSante, who has also held the Firm Managing Partner position for over 25 years, is a woman. In fact, Marie was a “Lifetime Achievement” honoree by Corporate Counsel and InsideCounsel at the 2018 National Women in Law Awards. Honorees were selected based on their demonstrated commitment to advancing the empowerment of women in law.
