Nissan North America Headquarters in Franklin, TN houses Sales, Marketing, Human Resources and other executive functions for Nissan in the region.
At almost six million square feet under one roof, Nissan's Smyrna, TN assembly plant is the workplace for more than 8,000 people and is one of the world's largest automotive assembly facilities.
Since 1997, Nissan’s powertrain plant in Decherd, Tenn. has been building reliable, high-quality engines while providing secure and well-paying jobs for residents of Franklin County and the surrounding area. Today, the facility and its more than 1,600 employees provide engines and electric motors for all Nissan and Infiniti vehicles built at the company’s vehicle assembly plants in Smyrna, Tenn. and Canton, Miss.
Nissan is the only automaker that manufactures its own electric vehicle batteries at the largest lithium-ion automotive battery plant in the U.S., located on the grounds of the Smyrna assembly plant.
