Niche Food Group is based in St. Louis, Missouri and owned by Executive Chef Gerard Craft. After opening Niche in 2005, Chef Craft has extended his restaurant group to include Taste by Niche, a modern speakeasy, Brasserie by Niche, a classic French bistro, his approachable, family-friendly Italian concept, Pastaria, his first fast-casual concept, Porano Pasta in downtown St. Louis, and most recently, Sardella, a modern Italian cafe, which took the space once previously held by Niche in downtown Clayton. Craft's next venture is expanding the Pastaria concept beyond the St. Louis region to Nashville, Tennessee, set to open in late summer 2017.
