•    Community Bonuses – quarterly performance bonuses that provide associates with additional compensation.
•    Gratitude Grams – official “thank you” cards given by an associate to a coworker who has gone above and beyond. The winner of the monthly drawing in each community receives a gift up to $50 in value.
•    Service Champions – once a month each Benchmark community chooses its top service champion. The winners receive a ribbon and pin to wear on their nametag, a gold Service Champion uniform shirt and a $100-dollar gift check.
•    Community Service Champions – annual recognition of the top service champion in each community. The winner receives an extra day off, a plaque and a $500-dollar gift.
•    Benchmark Service Champion – annual recognition of the top associate across Benchmark who is the model service champion. The winner receives a vacation package award.
•    Resident Referral Bonuses – bonuses of $1,000 that are provided to associates who refer a resident to any of the Benchmark communities who moves in.
•    Associate Referral Bonuses – bonuses of $500 to $5,000 that are provided to associates who refer employment candidates to Benchmark who are hired.

Associate Development:
Benchmark brings our associates into their talent development from the beginning. As part of the annual review process, associates create individual development plans, with personal and professional goals based on their strengths, interests and aspirations. Associates work closely with a supervisor to get advice, guidance, mentoring and education to be successful in their careers.

Benchmark University:
Associates at Benchmark are enrolled on their first day in Benchmark University—a learning management system that combines in class, online and independent learning. With this hybrid approach, associates can keep current with the strict requirements of the senior living industry for in-service training, licensure tracking and certificates.

One Company Fund:
Benchmark One Company Fund, Inc., a nonprofit organization, was formed by Benchmark executives for the sole purpose of providing emergency cash assistance to associates and their families during times of unpredictable hardship. The application process is anonymous and associates can receive grants up to $5,000. In 2016, Benchmark’s distributed $352,000 to 194 associates through the One Company Fund.
