HCI Care Services and Visiting Nurse Services of Iowa is a non-profit organization with a mission of promoting dignity, independence and quality of life for all through education, compassion and effective community-based care. HCI Care Services offers the programs HCI Hospice Care Services, Hospice With Heart, Amanda the Panda, as well as ExtraCare Services (a private duty home care and concierge service) to individuals in their homes and offers support to their families. Hospice services are offered in 41 counties and in the Des Moines-based Kavanagh House on 56th Street and Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston. Grief support services are offered through HCI Hospice Care Services and Amanda the Panda. Proceeds from HCI Giving Tree thrift stores support hospice patients. Visiting Nurse Services of Iowa provides a wide scope of medical and supportive services to meet the needs of the community, from expectant mothers to the elderly. VNS of Iowa acts as a supportive network and advocate for children and mothers, seniors, low-income families, immigrants and refugees, and others who need connection to community resources, vital health care services and assistance.
HCI Care Services brings care to patients wherever they call home - whether that be in a personal residence, senior apartment, long-term care facility or elsewhere.
HCI Care Services also offers hospice care in its two Des Moines-based Kavanagh House facilities.
HCI Care Services offers a number of special services to match the unique needs of its patients, including a Veteran-to-Veteran volunteer program.
