Founded in 1898, Jewish Family Services (JFS) is a comprehensive non-profit human service agency that offers a continuum of services to meet the needs of individuals and families throughout Delaware. The agency’s mission reflects the desired outcomes: “to provide counseling and support services which strengthen the well-being of the individual, family & community, based on Jewish values.” To fulfill its mission, JFS provides therapy and psychiatry services; addictions services; elder care services; resettlement services; prevention education; youth advocacy and family support; and volunteer services.
