Vertex's Thomas M. Menino Learning Lab, a 3,000 classroom and laboratory space at our Boston headquarters, provides hands-on STEM opportunities to Boston Public School students. All employees can volunteer in the lab by helping with class visits, after-school mentorship programs and our high school summer jobs program.

Vertex celebrates its uncompromising commitment to patients and inspires employees with frequent visits and presentations from patients and their families.

All Vertex employees have the opportunity to bring their families into the office for the Vertex Family Open House, an annual tradition that provides fun, entertaining events for all ages while highlighting Vertex's culture, science and connections with the community. This year's theme celebrated the “Community of Heroes” within the Vertex Family – employees, families, patients, advocates, caregivers and physicians.

The Vertex Opportunities for Intrapreneurship and Corporate Evolution (VOICE) program encourages employees to generate innovative ideas to solve problems across the business. Many of these proposals are being brought to fruition with real impacts on the business.
